Dominic Patrissi

Dominic R. Patrissi, 84 of Newington, beloved husband of Bernice (Owsiak) Patrissi for 54 years, died peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Son of the late Dominic and Catherine (Plasino) Patrissi, he was born and raised in Hartford and resided in Newington for over the last 60 years. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the Aetna for over 40 years. Dominic loved to spend his time listening to old radio shows, collecting comics, listening to his favorite singer, Bing Crosby and creating scrapbooks of important events in his lifetime. He loved spending time with his family, especially watching his granddaughters grow into beautiful young girls. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Concita of Wethersfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Pedro Machado of Newington; and his three cherished granddaughters; Kelsey Machado of Newington; Olivia and Gabriella Patrissi both of Wethersfield; two step-grandchildren Amber and Nathan Machado both of Newington. He also leaves a sister, Dolores Patrissi of Bristol, a sister-in-law, Alice Owsiak of Wethersfield; his Aunt Lucille Petow, his Uncle Daniel Patriss both of Newington; nieces, nephews and many cousins. Funeral procession will be Thursday, (February 27, 2020), 9:15 a.m. from the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Newington. Burial will be in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Calling hours will be Wednesday,( February 26), from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
