Jay W. Barrett

Jay W. Barrett, 44, of West Haven, took his flight to Heaven on March 13, 2019 after a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. He leaves behind a loving family, including his mother Glenda Barrett, his sisters Dawn (John) Flagg, WH Councilwoman Bridgette Hoskie, six nephews and two nieces, Brian Banning, Jr., William and Nicholas Banning, Jada Cintron, Emanuel Hoskie, Jr., Jalen and Qusaan Hoskie, Tianna Greene, six great nieces and nephews, and his tribe, Mikey Milano, Rosina Daniels, Harry Benson, Maria Carfora, Christine and Anthony Micarelli. Jay was predeceased by his father, Arthur G. Barrett, Sr., and his brother Arthur G. Barrett, Jr. Jay loved his family very much, his nieces and nephews meant everything to him. His favorite sports teams include the Celtics, Mets, and NY Giants. He hated the Cowboys! He will be remembered for his strong opinions, loose mouth and never backing down. Visitation will take place on SATURDAY from 11 am to 2 pm, with a Funeral Service at 1 pm, at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Connecticut Chapter 101 Centerpoint Drive, Suite 107 Middletown, CT 06457.
