Marylou Centi Obituary

Marylou Centi, age 77, of West Haven passed away on April 20, 2017. Loving wife of Frank Centi. She was born in New Haven, CT daughter of the late Anthony and Adeline Deleo Tatta. She is also survived by her daughters, Traci Bands and her husband Dr. Roy Bands Jr. of MD and April Garitta and her husband Salvatore of East Haven, her grandchildren, Roy Bands III and Tenley Bands, her sister Jerri Ahern and her husband David Ahern of Orange, her nephews Mark Ahern of Milford, Scott Centi and wife Terry of Higginum, her niece Sandre Lee Centi Martindale and her husband John of Madison, and her cousins Danny and Frances Rae of West Haven. Marylou was predeceased by her son Brian F. Centi. Marylou graduated from the Middlesex Hospital School of Nursing. She first started her career as a visiting nurse then was employed at Bentley Gardens for many years. She concluded her career, working for Blue Cross Blue Shield. A devoted mother and grandmother, Marylou attended many events the involved her children and grandchildren. She loved gardening and baking and was also an avid NY Yankee fan. The hours for visitation will be Friday from 4-8pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Her funeral will leave the funeral home on Saturday morning at 8:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Vianney Church at 9am. Entombment will follow in St. Lawrence Garden Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT. 065405.
