Steven F. Lawlor, 66, lifelong resident of Windsor Locks, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. He was born on October 2, 1953, the loving son to the late George and Roseann (Mazza) Lawlor. Steven proudly served our country in the United States Navy. Following his time in the service he enjoyed a career with Seven D Wholesale. He was a hard working man that would do whatever was needed for his family and friends."Call Steven". He enjoyed NASCAR, WWE, drag racing and anything that was loud and fast.. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his beloved family and enjoying the simplest pleasures in life. He will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful father, and grandfather. Steven is survived by his daughter, Cindy Strong and her husband, Tim of Vernon, VT; a granddaughter, Emma Strong; three sisters, Denise Lawlor, and Lynn Benis and her husband, Jeff, all of Windsor Locks, and Susan Prejsner and her husband, Tom of Chicopee; a niece, Piper Prejsner; and nephews, Andrew Prejsner, Jason Whelan and his wife, Dawn, Robert Whelan and his wife, Kyla and Eric Whelan, great nephew Joshua and great neices Chalan and Luna Whelan. He was predeceased by his father Anthony (Tony) Mazza. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for calling hours on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 4:00 -7:00 pm at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St, Windsor Locks, CT 06096. A service will be held at 10:00 am at the funeral home on Thursday, October 17, 2019, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial Donations can be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital in his honor.
