John Bailey Seaford, Delaware Obituary

John Bailey

John Wesley Bailey, son of the late Jimmie and Leila Scott Bailey, was born on Friday, November 4, 1938, in Hull County, Georgia. He went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July, 17, 2019. John received his education at Tabron’s Chapel and completed his studies in Carvard County, Georgia. John was the father of four sons. Alma Lou, the mother of his children, preceded him in death. John was an avid church member, where he served as one of the musicians. He played faithfully, every Sunday, until his health began to fail. He made sure that the church was ready for service. John also took pride in beautifying the outside of the church, ensuring the grass was properly groomed. In his spare time, John enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to gospel music. John was employed by several poultry plants for most of his adult life. Upon leaving Georgia, John relocated to Maryland to live with his brother, David. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two sisters, Willie Frances and Essie; one brother, Ozzier; and many nieces and nephews. His memory shall be cherished by his sons, Clifford, John, Jr., Garnet and Berderious; brothers, James Bailey of Madison County, David Bailey (Katrena) of Finch Ville, MD, Ola Mae Evans (Robert) of Gainesville; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
