Luther William “Mr. T” Travers, 92, of Seaford, Delaware, peacefully departed this life on Monday, September 2, 2019, while at home. Mr. T, as he was affectionately known, was born Wednesday, July 6, 1927, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Luther W. Travers and Marie Norwood. Luther worked for Penco as an assistant manager from 1973 to 1988. Luther was a World War II Veteran. He served in the United States Navy as a cook 2nd class from February 2,1945 to September 18, 1949. Luther enjoyed singing, playing his tambourine, preaching, greeting people at Walmart and traveling with his late wife, Eunice. In addition to his parents and his wife, Luther was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Travers Satterfield. Luther leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Tyrone Travers; two grandchildren; five special close friends, Tyrone and Rayemell Young, William Hughes and Chris and Mary Morris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
