Earl James Weeks, age 79, of Blountstown passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 in Panama City. Born in Blountstown, July 8, 1937, Earl was the son of Early Ebenezer and Flora (Barfield) Weeks. He served in the United States Navy as a hull technician and after military retirement he was a truck driver, and also did some farming and dredging. In addition to his parents, Early and Flora Weeks, Earl was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Clayton Weeks; and three sisters, Sybil Cumbaa, Dorothy Pearl Barfield, and Frances Weeks Martin. Survivors include his wife, Kalana Gail (Rodgers) Weeks of Blountstown; three daughters, Jenny Ester Weeks of Rhode Island, Heather Lynn and her husband, David of Altha, and Jerri Burke Weeks of Blountstown; a step-son, Dewayne Goff and his wife, Donna Jean of Bristol; step-daughters, Angel Williams and her husband, Charles of Greenwood and Crystal McCallum of Ocala; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry D. Weeks of Apopka; a brother-in-law, Harry Cumbaa of Blountstown; and two sisters, Margie Mason of Blountstown and Gail Koch and her husband, Bob of Crystal River. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 31 at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel with Reverend Charles Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Adams Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
