Jerry Lee McKeller Obituary

Jerry Lee McKeller, 79, of Webster, FL. died on September 8th, 2020 of natural causes. He went on to join his parents, Loveta “Mommie Keller” and Fred McKeller and sister Nelda McWhorter for some hot coffee, great conversations, and some of the finest cooking this side of Texas. He was born on February 21st, 1941 in McCamey, Texas. He spent most of his life in various spots in Texas, a little bit of time in Louisiana, and then settled his later years in Florida. He grew up with a strong love of hunting and fishing and was known to be quite a remarkable marksman. He proudly served as a Navy Airman and did some stints overseas in the Philippines and Japan. He had one heck of a work ethic serving as Vice President for Loomis Oil. He was also a well known and highly regarded Bar Manager for both The Fox Hunter and Stetsons in Texas. He was an avid lover of Country Western dancing and was always someone that the ladies loved to try and share a dance with. His one true love in life was always a good coffee shop and talking to people. He was a very charismatic individual that spent many hours telling the best stories and sprinkling in a great punchline here and there to keep a listener on their toes. There probably was not a coffee shop from Texas to Florida that would not have heard one of his stories. He was a truly unique one-of-a-kind individual and will be deeply missed by his family and anyone who ever was lucky enough to have known him. He is survived by his son, David McKeller, daughter Janet Sustaita, his nephew Coy Jones and his three children, six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
