Gloria Miller Indian Harbour Beach, Florida Obituary

Gloria Miller

On Tuesday, June 4, 2019, Gloria Mae Miller, loving mother, passed away peacefully at the age of 84. Gloria was born on May 13, 1935 in Denver, Colorado to Jerry & Margie Giambrocco. In 1954 she met and married the love of her life, Airman Glen Miller. With youth on their side and the spirit for adventure in their hearts, the Air Force brought them around the country, landing them in the sunshine of California. Gloria, always the one with the plan, made it possible for Glen to achieve his dreams of higher education (Bachelors, Masters & PHd). Very early on, Gloria encouraged Glen’s military career and planned for him to grow in the ranks of the Air Force, where he retired as full Colonel in 1983. In 1970, Gloria and Glen welcomed their first son Gerry and two years later their second son Matthew. In 1976, the family was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany which gave Gloria a launch pad to fulfill her dreams of traveling the world to such remote locations as the USSR and Yugoslavia and romantic destinations in Paris and Florence. In 1980, the couple settled with the boys in Colorado Springs, where she raised them in her home state. After the boys graduated high school the family migrated to Florida where she remained until her death. Gloria is survived by her two sons, Gerry and Matthew and Matthew’s daughter Fionnoula and wife Amy.
