Michael Brian Peterson

Michael Brian Peterson, “Mike”, was born July 2, 1957 passed away peacefully surrounded by family July 21, 2018 at the age of 61. Mike proudly served in the United State Navy from 1975-1979. He then went on to Lively Technical School where he was certified as an aircraft mechanic. In 1998 he received a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University then in 2001 a Masters of Business Administration from University of Phoenix. Following a successful professional career with Dyncorp and Scientia Global Inc., with international assignment in South America, he then established his own consulting firm, Peterson Global specializing in defense contract management. He was a dedicated and proud father who worked hard to instill his values of family and hard work in his children. Mike is survived by his father Douglas “Pete” Peterson, sister Paula Blackburn, daughters Jaimiean Harrison, Karen Ames, Christine Peterson, Teresa Peterson, and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by mother Carlotta Peterson and brother Douglas Peterson. A memorial service is scheduled for 7:00pm, Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Beach Funeral Home located at 1689 South Patrick Dr, Indian Harbour Beach, FL 32937. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mike's life. The family would like to thank Moffitt Cancer Center and Hospice of St. Francis for their excellent care and compassionate staff.
