Walter C Bansley Jr, 89 passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Walter was born in Brooklyn, NY and came to Brevard in 1983. As a young man he was in the Army-Air Force and was proud to serve his country. He had 58 years with his wife Helen, who pre-deceased him in 2007. He was a proud member of the New York City Police Department for 23 years and retired in 1980. He was also a 49 year member of the Elks Lodge and Past Exalted Ruler. Walter is survived by his 6 children; Walter C Bansley III, Kathleen V Gordineer, Eileen H Paulson, John W Bansley, Deborah W Hill and Theresa M Lloyd. Also 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and his companion of 8 years Verne Healy. A gathering of friends and family will be held Wednesday June 28, 2017 from 4-6 pm at Beach Funeral Home West Chapel at 4999 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne.
