Silas Alexander Ervin was born on March 13, 1988 to Sheronn Renae Ervin in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended the local schools in Duval County. As a child Silas enjoyed playing football. As time went by in life, Silas began working around the neighborhood cutting grass for the neighbors to have some change for his pockets. Silas also worked at Zebos doing various jobs, his specialty was cooking. He attended Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church with his grandfather.


Silas departed this life on Sunday, April 1, 2018. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Ernest Mann.


Silas left behind many love one’s, he was one that had an impact on many lives. Everyone he came in contact with, he made a positive impression in their lives. Silas was a father of two beautiful daughters, a kind friend and a loving son. He also gave whatever he could to help others. His genuine spirit and legacy will live on through his daughters.


Silas leaves a loving and devoted family to cherish his memories: mother, Sherron Renae Ervin; daughters, TeKiyah Chenelle Ervin (Donetta) and Morriah Marie Ervin (British); grandmother, Mary Ethel Ervin; grandfather, John Henry Ervin (Eunice); aunts, Vivian Y. Mann, Juanita E. Green and Valerie M. Ervin; a host of other relatives and friends; a special person, his godmother, Cassandra Andrews.
