Arthur Woodson Obituary

Arthur James Woodson was born to the late Eddie Woodson and Maria Lester on April 24, 1944, in Pinehurst, Georgia. Later, the family moved to Florida, where Arthur worked in construction and then later became a kitchen supervisor at Villa Maria Nursing Center, from where he retired. Arthur was married to Virginia Woodson and to this union, one child was born. In the early 2000’s, Arthur found his church home Agape Faith Center, where he found Christ. Arthur was known for his keen sense of humor. After retiring, he enjoyed doing yard work outside and spending time with his grandchildren. He had an infectious laugh that would make anyone laugh and he was known for being very independent. On September 30, 2020, Arthur James Woodson was called home to be with the Lord. Arthur leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Virginia Woodson; sister, Sarah Lester- Thompson; brothers, Plumer Holsey, James Lester (Alberta), Howard Lester, and Elijah and Lijah Bernely; three daughters, Wanta Beauzieux, Regina Adams (Bo Adams), and Monique Woodson; two sons, Andre Woodson (Quennella Woodson) and Toby West; eight grandchildren, Yoshika Simmons, Ronald Collier, Brandon Collier, Navaria Bethel, Jada Martinez, Treraughn Martinez, Aaron Adams, and Soraya Casimir; six bonus grandkids; three great-grands, Takaiyah Simmons, Terrell King, and Brandon Collier, Sr.; one aunt, Robbie Lester; two uncles, Johnny B.
