Arthur James Woodson was born to the late Eddie Woodson and
Maria Lester on April 24, 1944, in Pinehurst, Georgia.
Later, the family moved to Florida, where Arthur worked in
construction and then later became a kitchen supervisor at Villa
Maria Nursing Center, from where he retired.
Arthur was married to Virginia Woodson and to this union, one
child was born.
In the early 2000’s, Arthur found his church home Agape Faith
Center, where he found Christ.
Arthur was known for his keen sense of humor. After retiring,
he enjoyed doing yard work outside and spending time with his
grandchildren. He had an infectious laugh that would make anyone
laugh and he was known for being very independent.
On September 30, 2020, Arthur James Woodson was called home to
be with the Lord.
Arthur leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Virginia Woodson;
sister, Sarah Lester- Thompson; brothers, Plumer Holsey, James
Lester (Alberta), Howard Lester, and Elijah and Lijah Bernely;
three daughters, Wanta Beauzieux, Regina Adams (Bo Adams), and
Monique Woodson; two sons, Andre Woodson (Quennella Woodson)
and Toby West; eight grandchildren, Yoshika Simmons, Ronald
Collier, Brandon Collier, Navaria Bethel, Jada Martinez, Treraughn
Martinez, Aaron Adams, and Soraya Casimir; six bonus grandkids;
three great-grands, Takaiyah Simmons, Terrell King, and Brandon
Collier, Sr.; one aunt, Robbie Lester; two uncles, Johnny B. Lester
and Charles Preston; along with a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other sorrowing relatives, and friends.
Arthur was preceded in death by eight siblings.
