Bessie Moore

Bessie Thomas Moore, one of eleven siblings, was born on September 22, 1941 to the late Mennen and Carrie Strong Tisdale in Kingstree, South Carolina. She was joined in matrimony to the late Mr. John Henry Thomas Sr. This union was blessed with John Henry Thomas Jr. In later years she was joined in matrimony to the late Mr. Wilbur Moore. Bessie worked at Genesse Hospital in Rochester, New York and Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for thirteen years. She was later employed by the Delray Full Service Center in Delray Beach, Florida until retirement. At an early age she became a member of Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she served faithfully, singing in the #1 Choir. Bessie was truly a devoted Christian. She was a faithful servant of God. She became a member of the Worldwide Christian Center Church where she served faithfully as a Mother on the Mother Board and on the Pastor Aide Ministry under the leadership of her beloved pastor, Rev. Dr. O’Neal Dozier. Bessie was preceded in death by her son: John Henry Thomas Jr.; three sisters: Emma Jane Harris, Pauline Triplett, and Rosetta Graham; and two brothers: Otis Tisdale Sr. and Willie Tisdale Sr. On Friday, September 9, 2016 Bessie Thomas Moore peacefully earned a life of eternal joy. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: a loving daughter: Cheryl Hadden; three grandchildren: Carla Hadden, Kevin Hadden, and Keric Hadden; four sisters: Annie Dozier, Elizabeth Tisdale, Lena Reed, and Judy Morgan, all of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; one brother: Wilken Tisdale Sr., of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, numerous Christian sisters, brothers, neighbors and friends.
