Charles Spencer

March 3, 1954, in the city of Pompano Beach, Charles Vonzell Spencer was born, the third child of Frank and Lillian Spencer. His early education began at Sanders Park Elementary School. He completed his high school education at Pompano Senior High School, class of 1972. After high school he proudly served his country in the United States Marines Corps. He became a member of Lighthouse Church of God In Christ, under the Pastorate of Bishop Jimmy L. Williams, where he served faithfully until the Lord called him from labor to rest on September 2, 2017. On July 23, 2004 he married his love, Mary C. Jenkins. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Mary Jenkins Spencer, who was by his bedside in death; his father and mother, Frank and Lillian Spencer, Five children; Shellidra Spencer, Camille Spencer (deceased), Luswanna L. Hall (Andre), Takeyla A. Spencer and Octavia Spencer, two step-children, Avis O. Williams (Charlie) and Arvis Fuller, 16 grandchildren; three sisters, Queen McHenry (Willie – deceased), Yvonne Ricks (Charles) and Betty Heck (George); four brothers, Osborne Keith Spencer (deceased) (Pamela), Derrick Spencer (Gwen-deceased), Tracey Spencer (Jenise), three aunts, Lois Givens (Leroy), Thelma Paige (Horace – deceased) and Irene Fletcher (deceased) (Solomon), two uncles, David Rolle (Tina-deceased), and Charles Spencer (Mary-deceased), a special niece, Kelanie Heck, affectionately known as “Meatball”, and a host of nieces, nephews, sorrowing relatives and friends.
