Dennis Hopkins

Dennis Ray Hopkins was born April 3, 1963, to Charles and Bernice Lowe Hopkins in Guilford County, North Carolina. He went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2019, at 3:53 PM, in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, surrounded by family. Dennis was the youngest of eight. He attended Guilford County Schools, where he played drums in the band. He eventually chose to start a new life in Miami, Florida, where he met his wife, Talcy, and started a family. He was an entrepreneur who owned properties in Jacksonville and North Carolina, and he was loved by all of his tenants. He was preceded in death by: mother, Bernice Hopkins; father, Charles Hopkins, Sr.; brothers, Charles Hopkins, Jr., and Bernard Hopkins; and sisters, Connie Griffin, Marlene Hopkins, and Shirley Hopkins. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Talcy Hopkins; daughter, Danielle; sons, Dennis Jr. and John, all of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; siblings, Fay (David) Hopkins and Fred (Elaine) Hopkins; two uncles and one aunt; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
