Desmond Scott was born June 4, 1931, to the
parents of Elezebeth Scott and Adme Brown
in the Parish of St. Catherine, Jamaica, West
Indies. He attended Wakes-Field All Age
School.
After leaving school, he worked for the Ja.
Telephone Company. By the time he left for
England in 1954, he was the father of four
children, Eunell, Winston, Mavis, and Fitz.
Shortly after, he sent for the love of his life,
Miriam, to join him. Shortly after they joined
in holy matrimony, the union produced another
child, who preceded him in death.
In England, he worked at Ricey, the company
that makes Rolls Royce cars as we know it today.
He later became a bus driver, and after a number
of years, he migrated to the USA. He lived in
New York, where he operated a Limousine
Company of his own, until he moved to Florida,
in 2013 to live with his son, Fitz, until his death
on June 5th, 2020.
He leaves to mourn: his four children, Eunell,
Winston, Mavis, and Fitz; one brother, Bradley;
16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and
a host of relatives and friends.
