On early Sunday morning of September 1, 2019, God called his angel, Dorothy Annette Johnson, to her eternal home. She was the daughter to the late King Williams Sr. and Dorothy Pittman Williams. Dorothy “Ann” was born and raised in Blakely, Georgia and 20 years later she moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL. Ann’s passion was cooking, cleaning, shopping, helping others, and spending time with family. Ann had the pleasure of traveling to numerous countries and other states such as Rome, Italy, which was her most memorable of all. Ann was a natural born nurturer and she took care of her youngest siblings all the way down to her precious great granddaughter Leilani. She confessed Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. Ann became a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the number 2 choir. She was affiliated and faithfully served on the mother’s board at Empowering Lives Outreach Ministry (family-based ministry). On July 22, 1970, Ann married the love of her life Henry James Johnson who she now leaves behind. As a devoted wife and mother, she leaves precious memories to her children; four daughters, Miriam Flowers (Raspus Flowers) of Fort Lauderdale, FL., Candy Mitchell of Pompano Beach, FL., Glynnis Johnson of Brooklyn, NY., preceded in death Rhonda Miller (Murray) of Brooklyn, NY., One son; Derrick Johnson (Priscilla Johnson) of Atlanta, GA. Ann was the 13 th of 16 children; 12 brothers and 3 sisters. Living Brothers; Reverend Earl Williams of Quincy, FL., Willie Jim Williams (Azzie Williams) of Blakely, GA., J.T. Williams of Atlanta, GA., Charles Williams of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Brothers preceded her in death: Oscar Williams, Murray Williams, J.W. Williams, King Williams Jr., Alvin Williams, Loyless Williams and Raymond Williams; Sisters who preceded her in death: Nella Mae Salter, Inez Salter and Alice Williams; Nieces; Geraldine Shorter and Shirley Anita Williams. Fifteen grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren and a host of relatives, and friends.
