Ethel Mae Williams was born on May 24, 1933 under the name Ethel Mae Peele to the late Willie Johnson and Lucille Ward in Burke County Georgia. She later became Ethel Williams at the early age of 14.
Ethel moved to Florida in the early 1950’s. She worked as a caregiver and housekeeper until she retired at the age of 75.
Among those she leaves to cherish her sweet memories are: her children: Loreen Neal Dixon, Helen Neal Sr., Sharonda Neal and Cory Neal; three children preceded her in death: Jimmy Williams Jr., Willie Neal, and Lisa Neal; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; a host of cousins, step-children, godchildren, in-laws, and friends; special friends: Melvin Flournoy and Geraldine Fulcher.
Ethel was well known for her delicious soul food and sweet iced tea. Most of all she was known for her welcoming kindness towards anyone who ever knew her.
We would like to say a special thank you to everyone for showing so much love and support to our family during this difficult time. Words can’t express how thankful we are for your many acts of kindness. We are eternally grateful for everything that you have done to support us.
Thank you...thank you…thank you!
