Ivan Williams was born on the 6th of
November 1933 in Kingston, Jamaica. As a
young boy he received his basic education
at St. Mary’s All Age before returning to
West Kingston, where he completed his
education at Jonestown All Age School.
After which he became a mason by trade.
Life in Jamaica was sweetened with
children and love. In June of 1977 Ivan
married the love of his life, Lena.
Ivan then migrated to the United States in 1980. A short time after
they were reunited and relocated to S. Florida where they settled. His
career in the Security field spanned over 25 years.
Ivan was a straight shooter. Tolerated no nonsense. He believed in
honest hard work. Always willing to help those who wanted to help
themselves. A kind and simple man to say the least. Fond of his children
and grandchildren. Let’s not forget the stories! He always had a story
to accompany his infectious laugh. We’ve all heard about influx of
Peacocks that took over the neighborhood and imposed upon his
retirement.
He lived a beautiful life. A man full of love, strength, and laughter.
An irreplaceable spirit and energy that will never be forgotten in life
and now in death.
Left to celebrate his life and legacy are his wife, Lena, children
Errol Williams, Eugene Williams, Christopher Williams, Annette
Williams and Ivan Williams (Courtney); 15 grandchildren, 8 great
grandchildren, siblings, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other
relatives and friends.
