Janie Burgess McCutcheon was born June 21, 1916, in Lake City, South Carolina, to the late Lewis Burgess and the late Emma Macfadden Burgess. Janie had a total of twelve siblings, and at 103 years old, she was the last living sibling. On january 24, 1933, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Eugene McCutcheon, Sr., and from then on started a beautiful family. In 1953, Janie Burgess McCutcheon and Eugene McCutcheon, Sr., moved their family of seven to Pehoke, Florida, where she then birthed two other beautiful children. Janie Burgess McCutcheon and Eugene McCutcheon, Sr., had 48 years of a wonderful marriage, before he gained his wings February 10, 1980. Janie also played a big role in the raising of her grandchildren and fellow generations of grandchildren.
