Julia Abel Obituary

Julia Abel was born to Lydia Charles and St. Germain Frederic on September 16, 1945. She was one of 10 siblings. As an adult, Julia immigrated to The Bahamas where she was a homemaker. In 1981, she married Guy Abel, and they were still a loving couple at the time of her passing. As a homemaker, Julia could be found caring for her children as well as the neighborhood children, she cooked amazing meals for her family and neighbors alike. She was also a talented seamstress and made beautiful clothing. In 1991, Julia and her family moved to the United States where Julia spent over twenty years working in a textile factory in Pompano Beach, FL. She hardly missed a day of work and was loved by her co-workers, many of whom became close family friends. Julia had a caring and giving spirit and is missed and loved by many. Julia was very giving throughout her life and always put others before herself. Julia is survived by her loving husband Guy Abel, her eldest daughter Jocelyn Frederic, her eldest son Darolle Abel, her youngest son Reynold Abel, and her youngest daughter Guylene Abel- Velez. Julia was loved by all who knew her, including her siblings, extended family, and her seven grandchildren. Although we miss her dearly, there is comfort in knowing that she is at peace.
