On August 19, 1981 in Kings County Hospital Center, Brooklyn, New York a beautiful princess daughter was born to Anithe Grigou Saint Jean and joined by stepfather Edner Saint Jean. She was born Christian as her mother is fervent servant of God. Merly Grigou went to Plantation Elementary School, Plantation Middle School, and graduated in 2000 from South Plantation High School. She attended Broward College in 2000-2001. She continued her studies in Tallahassee Community College in 2002-2005 in general education with the hope of becoming a nurse. After, a car accident in Tallahassee she was unable to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. She had to come back home. After so many attempts to continue her studies in nursing school, she found her love and passion in cosmetology. She went to Boca Beauty Cosmetology School in 2016 where she spent 2 years in learning how to make people look good and elevated the beauty of women lashes. Throughout her life, Merly was fervent servant in helping others in need. Merly, with her mother, was continually fed the homeless in Broward County and Miami Dade. Her passion was always elevated people spirit. Merly also had a generous soul. She never met a person in need that she didn't find some way of helping. Her work as a beautician either at home or at work became her greatest passion, and she put in tireless hours making her clients look good with their lashes. With the passion that was in her made her clients became her friends and together they always had good time. Merly had so many friends. For her, friends were considered part of the family. Merly was a big partner in Mission New Jerusalem Good Samaritan Orphanage International, Inc. She worked non-stopped in helping children in Haiti. She is the cornerstone of MNJGSOI since the foundation. She devoted her knowledge, skills, and money to Mission New Jerusalem Good Samaritan Orphanage International, Inc. Merly’s legacy has to continue by visiting Paypal.me/merlysmission She was married in 2018 but living as couple took a different direction. Merly departed this life January 27, 2021. She was preceded suddenly in death by aneurysm. She leaves cherish her memory: Her mother Anithe Grigou Saint Jean, her stepfather Edner Saint Jean, her beloved cousin/brother Onesime Poussin, her uncles Antonio Grigou, Laveau Grigou, and Crevener Poussin. Her cousins: Daniel Poussin and family, Chrisner Poussin and family, Genel Poussin and family, Jean Fritz Poussin and family, Jean Bergot Poussin, Mitalie Grigou and family, Mirlene Grigou and family,Roosevelt Poussin, Vladimir Poussin Angeline Poussin and family,Mirlande Grigou Gelin and family, Suzie Grigou and family, Ansernio Grigou and family, Ernseau Grigou and family, Diles Sampeur/Merlande Millien Sampeur and family,Dicame Sampeur,Domingue Sampeur,Ghismene Sampeur,and Nesly Sampeur. Her godsons and goddaughters: Alan Sampeur, Alanie Grigou, and Naya children Her besties Nachole Williams (sister), Naya, Ingrid, Angeline, Rebecca, Lucy, her coworkers, and many friends near and far.
