Monique is the eldest daughter of Marcelle Bascombe and Henderson Bailey. She is the oldest sibling to Sherelle, Shamona (Caleb-nephew, Caitlin-niece), Shanickqua, and Ricardo Bailey. She is a native Floridian. She attended Stephen Foster Elementary, New River Middle and Nova High School (Class of 1999). Monique proudly served as a member of chorus during her entire tenure at Nova. Later in life Monique, married Kurt Gilyard. Together, they have two sons, Isaiah and Elijah.
