Nero Thomas Obituary

Nera H. Williams, also known as “Hyacinth” to her friends and loved ones, was born October 3, 1945 in Mandeville in the parish of Manchester, Jamaica to Anita Robinson and Wilfred Williams. However, she went to live with her grandmother in a little district called Wilson Run in Trelawny, where she attended Wilson Run Primary School. After approximately 8 years, her mom took her from Trelawny and brought her to Kingston at the age of 10. Hyacinth started her first job at the age of 16 as a factory worker and also she gave to her first child that same year. In her twenties, Hyacinth, became an entrepreneur. Buying and selling a variety of goods while traveling to various Caribbean islands. On December 9, 1984, Hyacinth migrated to the United States, where she resided in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During her early years here in Florida, she worked as a private duty nurse, until she changed profession to one of her first love, “cooking and baking.” Hyacinth worked in the food industry at various locations; examples, hotels, restaurants, nursing homes for several years until she retired in 2009 from Sunrise Health and Rehab Center. Hyacinth was raised in the church from a very young age, but she re-dedicated her life to Christ and was baptized on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at Community Church of God. After a wonderful and awesome encounter with some of the members of Lauderdale Community Church, Hyacinth became a faithful member until her passing on November 10, 2015. Her first born son, Garfield McDonald and her father Wilfred Williams preceded her in death. Hyacinth is survived by her loving mother, Anita Robinson; her four children: Netrice, Gary (Beverly), Angela, Ariano (Danielle); her 15 Grandchildren; her 12 Great-Grandchildren; and countless other relatives and friends. Hyacinth lived a wonderful life and she will be missed by one and all, but we, her family, are joyful that she is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
