Ronald Waddy

Ronald Dwight Waddy was born in McDowell County, Big Sandy West Virginia on July 13, 1940 to the late Donald and Beulah Waddy. He was the first child of nine, Freddie, Kenneth, and Darlene preceded him in death. He was educated and graduated from Samuel Gompers High School in New York City. He met and married Miriam Small in 1965 and from this union four children were born, Ronald, Anthony, Michelle, and Deborah. He then married his second wife Frances Martin who has also preceded him in death. Ronald was an active member in the Elks Lodge Temple #652, Central Broward Kiwanis Club, and the Broward County Sickle Cell Foundation until his health failed and he could no longer be involved. He really enjoyed working with both organizations. On Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:30pm, God touched Ronald’s face and ushered him home. Ronald leaves his legacy to his four children: Ronald Small (Lisa) of Staten Island, NY, Michell Waddy, Deborah Waddy (Wade Carter) of Jersey City, NJ, Anthony Waddy (deceased), five siblings; Barbara Ann, Melvin (Eileen), Linda, Ronetha of Bronx, NY, Michael (Elvia) of Lawton, OK; eight grandchildren; Johnathan, Christopher, Nicole, Christian, Sharon, Maurice, Maya, and Paris; a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends. He was born again and gave his life to Christ.
