Terry Maurice Nelson Lauderdale Lakes, Florida Obituary

Terry Maurice Nelson

Terry Maurice Nelson was a very passionate person. He cared deeply for his family and friends. His mother was truly the apple of his eye. He always talked about making it big someday and taking care of his whole family. He always had a love for animals. From a small boy he had a special gift and heart for animals, and all animals loved him! His very first pet was a pet snake he found and brought home to his mom's house. Terry believed in motivating and encouraging young men to be the best they can be and to take advantage of every educational and professional opportunity that comes their way. He gave tough love, but love none the less! Terry was an innovator, a thinker, always thinking of the next big idea! He was able to think of business ideas that no one else had come up with yet. His greatest innovative project was the birth of Blue and Gray Technology LLC., where he and his team of professionals worked tirelessly to create a new app program designed to help drivers keep track of their driving records. His work paid off and the company was finally ready to launch this year. Terry was a friend to everyone, he had an outgoing personality and people loved his funny and loud sense of humor. Terry was a very direct and honest person. He would tell you exactly what he felt about a matter. He did not mince words. But everyone knew it was from a place of love and concern. Terry was a true Dillard High School Alumni. He spent over 25 years supporting and helping the Boys and Girls Basketball Teams. He helped recruit many young men and women to the teams. He dedicated much of his time and energy to helping the team in any way possible, from basketball games and practice sessions, to working the concession stands during the games. Terry loved Dillard High School and Dillard High School loved him right back. He was a Die-hard Blue and Gray Dillard High School Fan!!! He leaves behind a loving mother Jessie Westbrook (Leon); and a host of other family and friends that were dear to his heart: Sherry Nelson-Fiddler (Alton), Freddie Nelson (Darlene), Shawanda Bonner- Morgan (Roger), Aaliyah Jackson, Corey Fiddler, Deckieon Lamons, Kendra Lamons, Leon Gordon, Mary, Yohance and Dara McCoy, Dena Hobdy, Mike Bush and the Entire Bush Family, Michael Haynes, and the entire Dillard High School Family, There is a host of many other family and friends that he cherished which are too numerous to name!
