"Granny" Elouise Baker Baxley October 12, 1923 - November 10, 2011 "Granny" Elouise Baker Baxley,88 of Milton, was born on October 12, 1923 to the late Charles and Gerturde Hayes Baker in Geneva, Alabama. Granny Baxley went to her heavenly home on November 10, 2011. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Milton. Granny loved her chickens, pigeons and goats. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leon "Red" Baxley; her great grandchildren, Madison and Nathan Baxley; brother, Arnold Baker. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; Curtis Baxley, Milton; Kenneth and Gail Baxley, Munson; Joe and Sandy Baxley, Milton; six grandchildren, Len, Stewart (Lori), Ashley (Paige) and Daniel (Melissa) Baxley, Crissy (Elmo) Ansell and Stacey (Blake) Grimsley; and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Rufus O'Neal Baker, Milton. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Monday, November 14, 2011 at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel with Rev. Alton Nixon, officiating. Burial to follow in the Crain Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 12PM one hour prior to services. Pallbearers will be Granny Baxley's grandsons.
