Allen Pettigrew

Allen Pettigrew, Jr., 51, passed away at home on September 15, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Allen was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 16, 1988. He loved Jehovah God with all his heart and showed this by being actively involved in the ministry. He maintained his integrity to Jehovah to the very end. Allen was pursuing his RN degree and was three months shy of obtaining the degree. He was a caring, loving, and devoted son. Allen was known for his kindness, compassion, and sensitivity. He was a loyal friend who gave of himself in generous and unselfish ways. He enjoyed music, playing tennis, keyboards, and the guitar. Allen will be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Allen was preceded in death by his father, Allen Pettigrew, Sr.; and his sister, Deborah L. Pettigrew. He is survived by his mother, Lydia M. Pettigrew; his aunt Lisa (Earl) Cleveland; his cousins, Royston (Tami) Busby, Joel (Antheia) Busby; and a host of other relatives. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 3:00 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (5696 Berryhill Road, Milton, Florida.) Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements. Special thanks to Dr. Thomas Sunnenberg and his staff for their compassionate care and concern for Allen.
