Ann Cotton

Ann Teresa Cotton, 83, of Pace, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015, at home with her family, after a brief battle with cancer. Ann was born July 26, 1932, in Sag Harbor, New York, to parents Michael and Agnes Ficorilli. She was married to Carlie E. Cotton for fifty years. Mom's greatest interest was her family. She volunteered for the past eleven years at Pruitt Health in Milton. She loved being with "her patients and staff." Ann was recognized by WEAR-TV 3 in their "Angel In Our Midst Series." She was very humbled and honored of that accomplishment. We would like to thank each of you for all your love and prayers. Also, thank you for all the pictures and cards; Mom loved them! Ann is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother Gene Ficorilli; and sister Marie Novatka. She is survived by two daughters, Joy (Jim) Bowles and Sharon (Don) Jernigan; three grandchildren, Sara (Roger) Hubmann, Katie (Thom) Price, and Paul Jernigan; and the love of her life - her great-grandson, Maxwell Hubmann. She is also survived by her sister, Lucille McMahon of New York; and a brother, Jimmy (Joan) Ficorilli of New York; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 3, 2015, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Msgr. Michael Reed officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., prior to the service. Burial in Walling Cemetery will follow services. Paul Jernigan, Roger Hubmann, Thom Price, Mark Novatka, Bob Cotton, and Greg Cotton will serve as pallbearers. Scott, Glen, and Jim Ficorilli will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ann's name may be made to Pruitt Nursing Home, 5530 Northrop Road, Milton, Florida, 32570. The family appreciates and thanks Dr. Tom Sunnenburg, Dr. Matthew Fowler, Dr. Christopher LeCroy, the Emerald Coast Hospice staff. We especially thank Delise Hishke, RN, for her gentle care and concern for our mother and for our whole family. God bless all of you.
