Arthur Luedkte Obituary

Arthur Luedkte Jr., 70, a longtime resident of DeFuniak Springs, Fla, died Thursday July 7, 2011, at home surrounded my family. Born in Gainesville, Fla and raised in Marietta, GA, Art graduated from Georgia Tech with an undergraduate and master's degree in Industrial Engineering. Upon graduation, he proudly served as 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army at Fort McClennan in Anniston, AL. When his service to his country was through, he went on to work at Monsanto as an Industrial Engineer. After many dedicated years with the company, Art retired and moved to DeFuniak Springs to fulfill a lifelong dream of fishing from sun up to sun down with his long time friend and confidant Bill Mason. Art was a good friend, father, grandfather, husband, patriot and a staunch Yellow Jacket fan. He will be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Timothy Arthur Luedtke. Survivors include his sons Chris Luedtke, Nick (Simone) Luedtke, Ricky Mobley, Jamey (Kasey) Mobley and daughter Stacy (Mike) Cline; as well as numerous loving grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2011, at Lewis Funeral Home, 6405 Hwy 90, Milton, FL.
