Barbara Jean Perdue Smith , 56 years old, passed away peacefully in her sleep, November 23, 2014, in her home in Milton, Florida. She was born April 21, 1958, in Defuniak Springs, Florida; and graduated from Milton High School. She was a talented floral designer for "Open Rose Florist" in Milton for many years. She is survived by her two sons, Jesse Smith and Jason Smith, (Kacey) Smith; granddaughters, Lyla Jane Smith, Abby Mae Smith, and Gracey Belle Smith. She was also blessed to have been a sister to six siblings, five of which survived her, Phyllis Clifton Martin, JoAnn Martin, Doug Clifton, Ronnie Clifton, and Buddy Perdue. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Michael Smith; mother, Ethyln Inez Melvin; father, Wilbur Bill Perdue, and a brother, James Perdue. “Barb” was a sweet mother and loyal wife who loved life and loved people. She loved to watch British comedies like "Keeping up Appearances," and she also loved a good horror film. She loved to listen to all genres of music, but most of all, she loved to laugh. Her life was proof that “laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face (Victor Hugo).” She will be dearly missed by all her knew her. A memorial service will be held in her name Saturday, November 28, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m., at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Milton, Florida.
