Bernice J. Pearce, 89 of Milton, Fl passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013. She was born on Feb. 16, 1924 to the late Van and Myrtle Jernigan. Bernice was a intelligent young woman graduating as Valedictorian from Allentown High School. She retired from Florida National Bank after 30 years of banking in management. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Thomas Edward Pearce; son, Robert F. Noll; parents; brother, Jesse Jernigan; and a sister, Laura Glisson. Bernice is survived by her sister-in-law, Elenora Jernigan; four nephews, Guy (Julia), Mike (Suzie), David (Barbara) Glisson and Elton (Caroline) Jernigan and several great and great-great nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel with Elder Wesley Mathews, officiating. Burial to follow in Coldwater Community of Christ Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends between the hours of 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the funeral home.
