Betty Devine

Betty Jane (Yonker) Devine, 93, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, June 2, 2017, in Palm City, Florida. Betty was born on August 1, 1923, in Shalersville, Ohio, to Marcus Yonker and Martha Miller Yonker. She was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Ravenna, Ohio; and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Pace, Florida. She is survived by her devoted loving daughter, Sandra L. Gregory and her husband William E. Gregory, of Palm City, Florida; and her beloved son, Mark A. Nickol and his wife Janette M. Nickol of Pace, Florida. Betty “Grandma” is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life. Betty also had a passion for jigsaw puzzles, walking and baking her special Christmas cookies. She spent many years working for the Portage County Jail as the head cook. Cooking was a great pleasure for her. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Trinity Baptist Church (5301 Highway 90, Milton, Florida). Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, Florida, has been entrusted with local arrangements. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
