Betty Jean Dobbs 1938 – 2018 Betty Jean (Zorn) Dobbs, 80, of Milton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Betty was born March 6, 1938, in Donalsonville, Georgia, to the late, Delmus Zorn and Marine Coleman Zorn. She was a member of Ferris Hill Baptist Church. She worked as a seamstress for 30 years at Vanity Fair. Her family can testify that she was one of the best cooks around. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dobbs, Sr.; her parents; step-father, Ralph Sanders; and her sister, Mary Martha Elliott. Betty is survived by her son, Tommy (Myra) Dobbs; daughter, Ranza Robinson; sister, Katherine Underwood of Ola, Louisiana; brother, Oscar (Barbara) Zorn; grandchildren, Thomas (Makenzie) Dobbs, Amy Madjidi; great-grandchildren, Taylor Robinson and Reese Dobbs; great-great-grandchild, Jadon Robinson; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. Brian Nall officiating. Burial will follow services in Bagdad Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. for the family; and from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. for the public, prior to the services. The family would like to thank the staff at PruittHealth, for their love, care, and friendship during her stay; and to Covenant Care in her final days.
