Betty Harris Fisher, 78, of Pace, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Betty was born on April 29, 1935, in Pace, Florida, to the late George Riley Harris and Jennifer Penton Harris. She was a lifelong resident of Santa Rosa County, and was an active member of Pace Assembly of God Church for many years. She was a loving mother and Maw-Maw. She loved the Lord and showed that in her caring spirit. Betty is survived by her husband, William F. Fisher; three sons, Leon Turman, Dana Turman, and Gregory (Delores) Turman; a daughter in law, Gloria Turman; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Terence) Shell, Jessica (Tome) Brinson, Kelly & Katie Turman, and Kaine Turman; five great grandchildren, Breanna, Christian, and Draven Shell, Keliana and Trey Brinson; two sisters, Wilma Fowler and Yvonne (Herbert) Fowler. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 10, 2014, at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Milton with Rev. Joey Rogers officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am on Monday, prior to services. Burial will follow in the Barrancas National Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing.
