Betty Martin

Betty Lou Martin, 80, of Bagdad, Florida, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019. Mrs. Martin was born in Cobbtown, Florida, and had resided most of her life in the Bagdad area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Martin; a son, Billy Earl Martin; a brother, Grady Copeland; and a sister, Norma Jean Malloy. Mrs. Martin is survived by her children, Terry (Nancy) Martin, James Lloyd (Sandy) Martin, Jackie Eugene (Christine) Martin, William Martin, Larry Martin, and David Houston Martin; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Cecil Sweeney, Ezra Sweeney, Jr, and Donald R. Sweeney; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services for Mrs. Martin will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at the Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, with Rev. Donald Leavins officiating. Burial will follow in the Bagdad Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.
