Betty Struth, 80, of Milton, passed away Tuesday night, August 25, 2015. Betty was the daughter of Jessie M. (Campbell) and Martin W. Struth, born on November 11, 1934, in Milton, Florida. "Miss Struth" as known by many whom she taught in the classroom, began her teaching career as an English teacher at Milton High School. She devoted the next 36 years of her life to educating, inspiring, and touching the lives of several generations of young people in Santa Rosa County Schools. Betty, herself, was also a graduate of Milton High School, when it was located on Canal Street. She was a proud graduate of Florida State University where she was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. As a woman of faith, Betty was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Milton, serving in many capacities over the years. Family was extremely important to Betty. She was always a unifying force in her family and everyone always felt loved by her. She was a great daughter, great sister and a great friend and will be sorely missed. She is preceded in death by her parents. Betty is survived by her siblings, Martin Struth, Sandra Struth Rayburn, and Mike Struth. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, Milton, with Rev. Kathy Knight officiating. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., prior to the service. Lewis Funeral Home Milton directing.
