Blanche Brock

Blanche Mims Brock, 78, of Pensacola, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Blanche was born February 7, 1939, in Holmes County, Florida, to the late James Francis (Dan) Mims and Lecie Loraine (Myers) Mims. Blanche was employed 36 years at Monsanto. She was the neighborhood “Mom”; our home was where everyone came to play and eat! She enjoyed cooking, loved her family very much, and her favorite time of the year was Christmas. She loved the Lord, and her church family at Pace Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed playing Dominos and loved animals. She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Danny Brock; four sisters, Pansy Barnes, Lillie Somerset, Daisy Tate and Retha Ellenburg; and three brothers, Calvin Mims, Leonard Mims and Leon Mims. Blanche is survived by her son, Edsel Brock (Billy Masterson); daughter, Donna Conner (Kelly Conner); daughter-in-law, Margie Brock; three grandchildren, Kelli Brock, Daniel (Lindsay) Brock, and Kaitlin Conner; three sisters, Dahlia Clark, Bammer Thomas, and Willene (Gary) Boyd; and one brother, R.V. (Mary) Mims. Visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel (4777 West Spencerfield Road, Pace, Florida 32571). Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Glyn Lowery, Rev. Steve Zepp and Rev. Royce Peaden officiating. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017, in Poplar Head Cemetery, Westville, Florida (Holmes County), with Rev. Clois Joyner officiating, and Lewis Funeral Home directing.
