Cathy Ann Gaffny, Age 57, of Gulf Breeze Florida, passed away on July 16, from complications due to pancreatic cancer. A memorial service will be held at St Sylvester Catholic Church, 6464 Gulf Breeze Pkwy. Gulf Breeze, FL., on Monday July 22nd, at 10:00 AM. A “Celebration of Life” will also be held at the Marriot Courtyard, 270 Concord Rd., Billerica, Massachusetts on August 3rd at 3:00 – 7:00 PM. Cathy was born in Buffalo, New York, February 15th 1956. She graduated from Billerica Memorial High School in 1974. She continued her education and received an Associated Degree from Holliston Junior College in 1976. Cathy was married to David Gaffny on September 30, 1978. They were married for 34 years. Cathy worked as a Veterinary Technician in many animal hospitals throughout Massachusetts. She was an avid dog and cat lover. She enjoyed her time in Maine and Florida. She also enjoyed her flower gardens. In recent years she became involved in trap shooting and ghost hunting. Cathy is survived by her husband David, children Melissa and Nicholas, mother Mary Ann Ryfczynski, brother Mike Ryfczynski, sister Linda Morgan, many nieces and nephews, many other family members and friends. Cathy is preceded in death by her father Eugene Ryfczynski.
