Charles Boltz Obituary

Charles G. Boltz (1962- 2018) Charlie “Fritz” Boltz went peacefully to be with his Lord, surrounded by family and friends, on Friday, January 12, 2018. Charlie was born October 8, 1962, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Paul J. Boltz and Julia Briody Boltz (both deceased). Charlie was raised in Mt. Gretna, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Cedar Crest High School in 1980. Charlie was a long-term resident of the Pensacola area and resided in Pace with his family. For over 25 years he was an employee and salesperson (The best!) at Milton Dodge. His love of sports cannot be overstated. From the first year of the Pensacola Ice Pilots, Charlie had been a season ticket holder, regularly attending games with his family. Charlie loved reading, history, trivia and good music from the 60’s and 70’s. The consensus among his coworkers and friends was that before Google was invented, there was Charlie, a walking encyclopedia! Being from Pennsylvania, Charlie loved anything Amish, especially the sausages and cheeses family friend Claudia Berwager would send to him. Charlie Boltz was incredibly loyal to family and friends. He possessed a sharp wit and warm spirit that made people laugh and feel at ease at the same time. He was so very proud of his two sons, Nathaniel Paul and Logan John, especially during the past year. He met and married his soul mate, Sandy (Witcher), in 1999. Together, they would take their sons and vacation at Charlie’s favorite place to go since his childhood, Seeley’s Bay, Ontario, Canada. In addition to his wife and two sons, Charlie is survived by two brothers, Thomas R. Boltz (and wife Natalia) from Jupiter, Florida, and Eric A. H. Boltz (and wife Gayle) of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Charles “Fritz” Boltz will be sadly missed by family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018, at First United Methodist Church of Milton (6830 Berryhill Rd., Milton, Florida 32570.) Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., prior to the service. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made, in Charlie’s name, to ChemoWarrior, online at, www.chemowarrior.org.
