Chiquita G. Devore, 58, of Mason City, passed away at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, at 5:28 p.m., on Thursday, January 2, 2020. She was born February 8, 1961, to Edward and Winnie (Jernigan) Griswold. She married Michael Devore on April 28, 2000, in Brewton, Alabama. Mrs. Devore is survived by her husband, Michael, of Mason City; two daughters: Tesha Campbell of Florida and Rebecca Ballinger of Mason City; three grandchildren: Alexus Merricks, Christopher Merricks Jr., and Destiny Campbell-Shipman. Also surviving are four siblings: Rita Knowles, Beverly Jiminez, Jeffery Griswold and Keith Griswold, all of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, three infant siblings and one son: Christopher Polk. Mrs. Devore enjoyed singing and reading. She spent many hours watching Westerns and other movies on the Hallmark Channel. She especially loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
