Christopher Wilson

Christopher David “Turkey" Wilson, 73, of Navarre, Florida, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017. He was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, but called Navarre his home. He had an amazing career in the military, having served in both the Navy and Air Force for 20 years; however, his true calling was driving buses. Dad never met a stranger and could talk to anyone. His smile was infectious and he could make anyone laugh with one of his corny jokes. He worked for several bus lines over the years but his favorite was C&H Bus Lines Inc. in Macon, Georgia. Chris is survived by his loving wife of 48 yrs, Nadine; daughters, Christie (John) Hill, Stacie (Bobby) Turman; and his son, Scott (Sarah) Wilson. He was a devoted Pawpaw to Patrick and Derek Hill; Eric, Amanda, and Andrew Turman; Ava, Ethan, Lily and Maverick Wilson; and Cam Walker. Survivors also include his brother-in-law and best friend, Ronald Jackson; and nephews, Jimmy (Brittany) and Robert Jackson; along with many other friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Sarah Wilson; and his grandson and namesake, Christopher Hill. A Memorial Service will be held in his honor at 5:30 p.m., January 4, 2018; at First Baptist Church of Navarre, with Pastor Jensen Peterson officiating. Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel, has been entrusted with arrangements. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2017, at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola Naval Air Station. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite military charity.
