Clarence H. Poppe, 92, peacefully entered into glory on Thursday, March 12, 2015. Clarence was born January 15, 1923, in Weimar, Texas. He enjoyed helping others and serving in many positions at his church. He was a current member of Grace Lutheran Church in Pensacola, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lucile; one daughter, Edith (Craig); two sons, Lester (Barbara) and Leonard (Karin); eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, George (Doris). The family would like to thank their Grace family; and the doctors, nurses, and staffs of Sacred Heart Hospital, Carpenters Creek, and the Life Care Center, for their compassionate care of Clarence and his family. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2015, at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel with Pastor Timothy Sowers and Pastor Phillip Phifer officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
