Constance Eller Obituary

Constance Marie "Connie" Eller was called home to be with the Lord of Saturday, March 4, 2017. Connie was 59 years old. Connie was one of five children to James and the late Luna Faye (Patterson) Blackwell. A native and lifelong resident of Pace, she was a 1976 graduate of Pace High School. She later graduated from the University of West Florida with a bachelor's degree in education. She was a retired elementary school teacher with the Santa Rosa County school system. Connie enjoyed playing volleyball, softball, the beach and traveling with her husband. She loved mothering her son Nathan and daughter Britney as well as her nieces and nephews and neighbors’ children. Recently she gained the new title of GamGam to her precious grandson Tucker Ray and needless to say she shined in the grandmother role too. In lieu of flowers, Connie desired to establish an education fund to be started for her grandson and any other future grandchildren. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Connie's memory should make their donation payable to the Tucker Wiggins Education Fund that Connie’s husband, Jerry, has set up through Bank of America. Connie was a lifelong member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Pace. She was an avid Alabama football fan, "Roll Tide". She is survived by her husband Jerry Eller; one son, Nathan (Chanel) Wiggins; one daughter, Britney (Justin) Brown; one grandson, Tucker Ray Wiggins; her father, James Blackwell; two sisters, Cynthia (Joel) Melton and Marsha (Steve) Hadder; two brothers, Larry (Dayle) Blackwell and Robert "Bobby" Blackwell; two stepsons, Jerry Jr (Jennifer)(grandson, Ayden) Eller and Scott (Ari)(granddaughter Avery) Eller; and her many nieces and nephews. Her faith in the ONE, the risen Jesus Christ led her to realize that whatever the outcome of life's battles, that her life was a win, win victory whether she lived or was called home to be with Christ forever. She wanted everyone to know that there is an eternal difference between just being a fan of Jesus or being a real follower of Jesus Christ. Everyone needs to learn the difference for themselves. It is the most important, personal decision everyone, everywhere, will ever make. Eternity hangs in the decision. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Immanuel Baptist Church, Pace, Florida. Lewis Funeral Home, Pace, has been entrusted with arrangements.
