Coronavirus Pandemic Obituary

March 24, 2020 A letter to all we may serve. This is our 92nd year of our family's service to the people of Northwest Florida. This is myself and my brother Sam's fifth decade of service committed to taking care of our people. Suffice it to say we have never been where we are today with the outbreak and spread of the corona virus. In light of the unprecedented times we find ourselves in, we must do all we can to protect the people who are calling on us and to protect our staff who are endeavoring to serve you during this pandemic. We have moved all of our day to day operations to our Milton location. Our Navarre and Pace Chapels will only be used on an as needed basis. That means all arrangements will be made at our Milton location. In coming to our Milton location, we ask that no more than 3 members of a family be present to make arrangements. We will be wearing a mask, and we ask that you wear the mask provided for you as well. If you feel ill, have a fever, sore throat or cough......Do Not Enter. If you are choosing funeral services or a memorial service we ask that it be limited to immediate family only and in following the CDC guidelines, recommending no more that 10 people who keep their social distances from each other. Anyone who may be at a higher risk due to age or medical issues should stay away. We are recommending graveside services only. If your loved one passes away during this time, we recommend a public memorial service at a later date once the pandemic has passed. Our cremation operations will continue at our Fields of Faith Crematory and Tribute Center, however we will be temporarily suspending our final farewell/identification viewing. My prayer has been that all of us may be spared. Let us help in making good decisions for ourselves and those who come our way. Sincerely, Michael S. Lewis, Director
