Cynthia Delois Jones, 64, of Hobe Sound, Florida, and formerly of Pensacola, Florida, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019, peacefully at Palm City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Palm City, Florida. She was born in Stuart, Florida, to parents Hazel McClain Bernard and the late Howard Preston, Jr., on October 5, 1954. Cynthia was educated in the public schools of Martin County. During her lifetime, she was employed as a teacher in the childcare industry. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart, Florida. A Celebration of Life will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 8, 2019, in Barrancas National Cemetery, onboard Pensacola Naval Air Station (1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, Florida 32508), with Lewis Funeral Home in Milton, Florida, directing.
