Deborah Lasater Milton, Florida Obituary

Deborah Lasater

Deborah Ann “Debbie” Moore Lasater, 57, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2016, in Pensacola, Florida, surrounded by her loving family. Debbie was born June 17, 1958, in Crestview, Florida, daughter of the late Billy Joe and Lydia Peaden Moore. Debbie’s greatest passion was her family. There are no words to describe the extraordinary wife and mother she was. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved the beach, being outdoors on a sunny day, reading her Bible, having all of her family together on holidays, and making Dad stop at random yard sales. She was also a talented writer, painter, and crafter. In 1984, Debbie married the love of her life, Tony, eventually settling in Milton, Florida, where they raised their four children. In addition to raising their children, Debbie also was a licensed cosmetologist and a loving second mother to many of her children’s friends. Debbie is preceded in death by her mother and father; brother, Marty Moore; step-mother, Jean Moore; and grandparents, Huey and Leona Moore, and JD Peaden and Catherine Peaden Moorley. Debbie lost her own mother when she was just two years old. She dreamed of being reunited with her mom in heaven. That dream has now been fulfilled. While we will miss her dearly here on earth, we are comforted knowing she has finally received her wings and is flying high with our Heavenly Father. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her devoted husband and best friend of 31 years, Tony Lasater; two daughters, Rosie Cooper-Neary and her husband Shawn of Athens, Georgia, and Ryane Turner and her husband Bo of Dothan, Alabama; two sons Shawn Lasater of Pensacola, Florida, and Mickey Lasater and his wife Nancy of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; grandchildren, Tyler, Halle, Cooper, Ethan, Maebree, and Maddux; one sister, Cathy (Walt) Dewees; two brothers, Bobby (Angie) Moore and Billy Moore; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and too many dear friends to name. In celebration of her life, the family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 p.m., and burial will follow the service at Brake Cemetery, Munson, Florida. Active Pallbearers are Aaron Quina, Andy Brown, Chris Rambo, Chris White, David Beach, Hunter Smith, and Paul Quina.
