Debbie Downs, 59, of Milton, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 24, 2014. Debbie was born January 25, 1955 in Miami, but moved to Milton at a very early age. She was the daughter of Bill and Pat Downs. She was a graduate of Milton High School and had worked 37 years for the Santa Rosa County school system. She attended First Baptist Church and was a member of the Martha Sunday School class. Debbie was a kind and loving daughter, sister, and aunt. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Downs. She is survived by her mother, Pat Downs; five brothers, Bob (Linda), Ron (Joyce), Rick, Billy (Kay), and Wayne (Cindy); and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, with Dr. David Spencer officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., prior to the service. Her nephews will serve as Pallbearers. Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Milton in memory of Debbie.
