Delbert Earl Damron, 79, of Milton, Florida, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016. Delbert was born October 13, 1936, in Wilmington, Ohio. He went to school in Wilmington; and joined the Navy on November 16, 1956, retiring after 20 years of service. After his retirement from the Navy he worked civil service at NAS Pensacola, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Holleen Damron. Delbert is survived by his wife, Regina Alexis Damron; two sons, Marc Anthony Damron and Matthew Allen Damron; his daughter, Dellana Merrit; sister, Janet Morris; brothers, Billy Damron and Burt Damron; and his step-daughter, Collet Perry. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:45 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2016, at Barrancas National Cemetery, onboard Pensacola NAS, with full military Honors. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with arrangements.
